Thunderlight
Around 15.2 hh this honest fella is bombproof and forward moving. His mum is Black and his dad is Melik, a registered arab stallion. He has inherited the best of both breeds and people fall in love with him all the time and want to take him home!

Cobba
Wild capture Kaimanawa. Cobba came off the range as a yearling. A chunky 13.2 hh, he has a neat jump and a VERY comfy canter. Thunderlights best mate!

Foally
14 hh 4 wheel drive sports car. Foally goes and goes ALL day. Has the most amazing jump and the LONGEST mane you have ever seen. Not for beginners but she is great fun for some one that knows how to ride. Foally is also a Kaimanawa, she was a surprise baby we rescued her mum in the muster and she was in foal with Foally

Soft Touch
14.1hh Soft Touch is great for beginners but can be equally as fun for people who know how to ride. He is great on his feet and makes his rider feel safe and secure. Soft Touch is also a wild capture Kaimanawa and was rescued at the same time as Seamus

14.1hh Quarter Horse X Thoroughbred. First foal ever born at Okau Horse Treks. She is a very brave and fast horse with a sensible attitude. Mean games girl!

13.1hh first foal by our little appaloosa X quarter horse stallion. Wish is steady and quiet.

Harry
Harry is a 16.1hh thoroughbred. Very gentle natured LOVES attention and lots of pats. Not a beginners horse but fine if you have done a bit of riding!

Soldier
My 6 year old horse Soldier is a very pretty boy and stunning in the summer when he gets dapples, lovely forward moving horse who has a bold jump.

Seamus
Seamus is an 11 year old, 13.2 hh Kaimanawa pony. He came of the Kaimanawa Ranges as a wild yearling. Far from wild now he is darling chap who can take children and small adults both learners and more experienced riders.
 
Empathetic, friendly soul

Hamish
Hamish is a 16 hh standardbred. They dont come better than this for the complete beginner. Completely unflappable he'll take care of you and teach you how to ride.

Peanut
Peanut is the smallest horse on the farm. He is a cute old boy who is great for leading young children around on. They dont come any quieter than peanut!!

Honey
Honey came into my life when I was 9 years old. She was all my dreams come true. Around 35 she is all but retired. Still fit and healthy she very occasionally takes children under 5 for their first ride on the lead rein.

Half Kaimanawa her mum was a wild capture kaimanawa. Tara-toot is  a great confidence builder and is happy crusing along out on a trek

Crackerjack is a very honest horse great for all levels of riders steady and sure footed guaranteed to provide a smooth and comfortable ride

BJ
BJ is an 11 year old registered Arabian pony. Bred and born locally she has the arab endurances and sense of fun with a sensible head and good manners. Great fun for experienced riders but can cruise along quietly when in a beginner group.

Big, beautiful back, leader of our herd. Calm but powerful, a firm and fair boss. About 16.2hh and of very solid build. Very willing adaptable to her rider

Small horse with a HUGE heart, this pony is exceptionally agile. She would do any thing and go any where for her rider. Very forward moving so great for a small rider who really knows how to ride! She is a domestic bred kaimanawa

Little pocket rocket! Lovely smooth wee horse also not for beginners but great if you know how to ride. Currently being used as a guide horse.

About 13.1hh. Whisky is a result of the immuno-contraceptive trial that Massey carried out on the Kaimanawas. She is GREAT fun and speedy. She is equally as good for children as she is small adults. Fun for both beginners and experienced riders
